The Jesse tree represents the genealogy of Jesus Christ. It tells the story of God's salvation plan beginning with creation and continuing through the Old Testament to the coming of the Messiah.

This Advent, our family started our own Jesse tree. The kids got the following scroll (direction) in their Advent calendar.

Although late by one day, we followed the first two activities shown in the table to make sure that the succeeding days will be as scheduled.

Because of the delay, Jun made the tree while I made circular shapes from a 'cartolina' that will be used as templates for the symbols to be drawn by the kids after reading and discussing each scripture/bible story.

It looks as though too much work went on but actually it wasn't that much :) We all had fun doing this activity and we are very proud of our Jesse tree. Well done, Dad!
