Advent 2011, Day 9

Today's scripture is taken from Exodus 2:11 - 4:31 which tells the story about 'Moses and the Burning Bush'.  From the scripture, Moses' life was narrated from the time he was found by the Pharaoh's daughter from the Nile River where his mother purposefully hid him so that he could live and be raised as the princess' son until the time he met God in the burning bush where he was instructed to save the Hebrews from Egypt.

The scripture teaches about listening, will of God, God's leadership and God's protection.  Moses had doubts and thought himself not worthy to do God's request but everything that happened in his life has a purpose and in the end he trusted God  and followed his plan.

Most of us will experience what Moses had experienced.  There will be times in our life when we will experience a lot of problems; there will be times when the difficulty will seem too much that we will doubt whether we could get through it. At times we feel that we don't deserve what is happening; we don't feel God's help. We just have to remember that God is always present to protect us and working in us for the good even in the most difficult times. In everything that is happening to us, God is always there trying to communicate, we just have to listen, and listen carefully to get His message.

"And we know that in all things
God works for the good of those who love him,
who have been called according to his purpose."
(Romans 8:28)
