Chili Paste

This all-around chili paste can be stored and re-used as flavoring when cooking or as base for siomai sauce.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup of fresh chilis (siling labuyo)
1/2 cup garlic
1/4 cup oil, olive oil recommended

Procedure:

Put the fresh chilis and garlic in a food processor and give it a good whizzing.  Add the oil and blend until smooth
Transfer the mixture in a pre-heated pan
Simmer until the chilis turn dark and the oil separates from the chili/garlic mix




TIP FOR USING AS BASE FOR SIOMAI SAUCE
Put a smal amount of chili paste in a small bowl, add soy sauce and lemon
